Season 7, Episode 5 Live Blog

10:05: We got Shamoy and Maria in the Honeymoon Suite while the rest of the house tries to break up the week 1 "power couples."

10:06: A very relaxing-looking relationship rehab.

10:07: Terrence J says there's no truth booth or matchup ceremony this week. Interesting...

10:15: The first ex shows up and... big surprise, it's Zak's. The entire house is ready to unleash Bria on her.

10:16: Bria... at this point it's predictable.

10:17: A peaceful moment with Samantha and Daniel. And then Samantha's ex Tyler shows up.

10:21: Kenya's ex Daryl looks just like Tevin!

10:28: Zak is up and down with his ex. Morgan thinks he's moving on.

10:31: Kayla's ex Ikaika seems like he's got something sinister going on.

10:46: Ikaika definitely knows how to get under Kayla's skin... and now he wants to fight Cam.

10:52: Tomas tackles Ikaika and Kwasi is pumped!!

10:55: Back to the Bria show...

11:01: With Kayla out of the picture, Jasmine moves in on Tevin.

  1. well that was lame, the show not your recap! No new proability information and most of the drama and background information revolved around a bunch of people (the ex's) who aren't even in the equation.... this is 'are you the one'!! we want to figure out the puzzle, we will just watch ex on the beach if we want messy drama.

    1. Yeah I agree. I really don't like the new formatting of the show where the fate button chooses the truth booth nominations. I think it's complete bullocks and it's not interesting to watch. It's too random and there are no opportunity like in the past for the people to get to know each other and each other's preferences and interests and how they work through challenges unlike previous seasons. I don't like that the whole show takes place in the house, it's boring.

  3. Yeah, this was an odd episode to say the least. In a way, I wonder why production would set things up this way, because it is now fairly obvious that several of the contestants have no sincere interest in looking for love. (Although I suppose everyone could have just lied in their interview, since the draw of being in a reality show was more compelling than staying in a relationship.)

    1. I think that the first couple of seasons people were serious about finding love or at least becoming more aware and choosing healthy and balanced relationships. However, as the show has gained popularity it seems the producers are more interested in people that are attractive and will cause the most drama.

  4. "Now, some of your Exes couldn't make it..."

Who are the people that are turning down a free trip to Hawaii?!?

    1. Someone in the episode said it; they speculated that exes only showed up if they wanted to have sex with the contestants. I know a lot of people who, Hawaii or no Hawaii, just would not want to see exes that they are completely dissociated from.

    2. Despite how shady the contestants are, it’s possible the exes have normal lives and had some obligations and couldn’t drop everything for a trip, Hawaii or not.

  5. Pretty lame episode overall. Some of the girls’ exes are straight up crazy. No wonder they say they’re looking for the total opposite now. Lol.
