Season 2, Episode 8 Probabilities - Live Blog - The 10 Matches are In

10:02 I wonder how many honeymoon suites they allocated. 6?

10:03 Nothing is a big sell like "I want someone like my mom or sister."

"His parents haven't ever been divorced... my parents haven't ever been divorced!!"

10:15 This is gross.

Our pairs are:

Brandon & Briana (40%)
Nathan & Christina (20%)
Anthony & Jessica (no match)

Per last week's chart - Brandon is either with Briana or Tyler, so picking him would definitely be the best strategy here.

10:16 These guys are idiots. If that logic to vote for Christina makes sense now, it would have made even more sense before...

10:25 Yeah, calling Nathan a puppy dog is right on. Go out and have fun!

10:27 Whipped cream vs. cool whip is pretty easy to predict the answer - whipped cream fans aren't ever going to even ask the question.

Truth Booth

Nathan and Christina in. If they are a perfect match, it'll tell us all ten pairings - as only two combinations remain with Nathan and Christina, and they have different second matches for Nathan (Ashley and Briana). If they aren't a perfect match - then Ellie and Nathan are a perfect match as well as Jasmine - Alex.

10:33 And they aren't. We have our first two inferred perfect matches: Ellie and Nathan are a perfect match, as are Jasmine and Alex.

Here are your 8 remaining combinations. There are really only 2 matches of the main 10, with each having 4 different Christina possibilities:
  1. Christina - Anthony, Alexandria - Anthony, Ashley - Dario, Briana - Brandon, Jessica - Garland, Tyler - Layton
  2. Christina - Dario, Alexandria - Anthony, Ashley - Dario, Briana - Brandon, Jessica - Garland, Tyler - Layton
  3. Christina - Garland, Alexandria - Anthony, Ashley - Dario, Briana - Brandon, Jessica - Garland, Tyler - Layton
  4. Christina - Layton, Alexandria - Anthony, Ashley - Dario, Briana - Brandon, Jessica - Garland, Tyler - Layton
  5. Christina - Anthony, Alexandria - Garland, Ashley - Layton, Briana - Anthony, Jessica - Dario, Tyler - Brandon
  6. Christina - Dario, Alexandria - Garland, Ashley - Layton, Briana - Anthony, Jessica - Dario, Tyler - Brandon
  7. Christina - Garland, Alexandria - Garland, Ashley - Layton, Briana - Anthony, Jessica - Dario, Tyler - Brandon
  8. Christina - Layton, Alexandria - Garland, Ashley - Layton, Briana - Anthony, Jessica - Dario, Tyler - Brandon

We have our correct 10!

  4. John is the one with the brains, and he's living a vacation in the honeymoon suite. He should have this figured out by now...

  5. That's the combination of couples I predicted after last week's episode, by process of elimination. All I kept hoping was that they'd be smart and throw the challenge, have Dario+Ashley win, and then truth booth them, as that would be the most obvious way for them to get clear cut answers. But then Ashley paired up with Layton, and Jess paired up with Anthony (a confirmed no match!!) and I knew immediately they are hopeless idiots, haha. If they would just sit down with a piece of paper and a pencil for 20 minutes, and write out how many beams were at each ceremony, and who was matched with who, they'd very quickly get most of the pairs crossed off from each matchup, leaving them with only 1 or 2 choices left that aren't confirmed no matches. From that first few match ups, it all hinged on Dario/Ashley, or Alex/Garland. Had they even put MINIMAL thought into it, that much would've been obvious. IMO, they don't deserve the money. They're clearly not even trying...

    3. WRONG! Last season, they could have a journal. This season they could not. If you follow anything at all besides this blog you would know that. The host did an AMA it was revealed there. I listened to a podcast Brianna did, also revealed there. In fact she even revealed that sometimes they would try to use inanimate objects to try to map pairs out, but producers wouldnt allow it.

    1. Episode 5's pairings do not refute these matches at all.

Those 3 matches are all the 3 confirmed perfect matches via the Truth Booth and none of the other pairings from that Match-Up are listed above as a Perfect Match

  8. Thank you. Thank you ! THANK YOU!!! You have saved me yet another crazy hair pulling night. I was all in with the math thing for the first 5-6 weeks but it was all scribbled in pen on paper , and as the weeks have gone on, I've been going crazy and giving up. I LOVE math and figuring stuff like this out , I just didn't have the patience this time , so thank you !!!!!!! A fellow math lover <3
