I'm only going to post this here (on a page already revealing all matches) since it's a bit spoilerish:
ReplyDeleteWe now have substantial evidence that the game will continue through to matchup #10. Here's why:
The midseason trailer showed us 4 events, only 1 of which has taken place:
1) John / Jacy enter truth booth
2) Wes / Kayla enter truth booth
3) The group gets 7 lights in the matchup
4) The group gets 8 lights in the matchup
The promo for episode 9 shows us Jacy selecting John in the matchup.
Now since they got 7 lights for matchup 7, it's likely the group will make 3 switches (to attempt to win the game immediately). However, Jacy's selection of John takes away one of the matches from matchup 7. To get 8 lights in matchup 8 after this selection, the group would have to make 4 switches rather than 3.
Therefore it appears likely (but not certain) that 8 lights won't come until matchup 9.
Which of course means the game goes the distance.
So for a moment last episode I though for sure this was going until Matchup #10 because we knew Wes / Kayla and John / Jacy enter the truth booth and neither of those pairings won the challenge.
ReplyDeleteBut then they changed it up and allowed them to pick any couple for the truth booth.
At this point we know that John / Jacy are still headed to the truth booth.
But still unknown is whether they go next and then win in Matchup #9, or if they go in the final truth booth. It's also possible they could squeeze 2 truth booths and 2 matchups into next week's episode. The challenges don't mean much any more so they might skip them altogether.
